Event Report: End-of-Life Planning Seminar Held
Reflecting on End-of-Life Planning as “How We Choose to Live”
— Seminar Report with Chairperson Daijiro Hashimoto —
On December 22 last year, an end-of-life planning seminar was held with Daijiro Hashimoto, Chairperson of BEYOND Tomorrow, as the keynote guest. The event featured a series of mini-seminars led by a diverse group of professionals, including financial planners, real estate specialists, tax accountants with expertise in inheritance, and lawyers. In addition, organizations engaged in social impact initiatives introduced their activities.
Through these sessions, participants were encouraged to view end-of-life planning not merely as preparation for the final stage of life, but as an opportunity to reflect on how they choose to live going forward and how they wish to engage with society.
During the seminar, a current BEYOND Tomorrow intern also took the stage to introduce the organization’s work. Drawing from personal experience, the intern spoke candidly about her background, how she found and joined BEYOND Tomorrow amid challenging circumstances, and the insights, personal growth, and future aspirations gained through participation in the program.
Many participants visited the BEYOND Tomorrow booth throughout the day. Those who completed the post-event survey received a small gift of stick-type green tea as a token of appreciation.
Centered on the theme of end-of-life planning, this seminar offered participants a chance not only to consider the final chapter of their lives, but also to reflect on how they live in the present and how they wish to contribute to society. It was a warm and uplifting occasion, providing space to organize personal values and gain insights to carry forward into the future.
BEYOND Tomorrow remains committed to creating opportunities where each individual’s life experiences and aspirations can be connected to future generations and to society at large, and will continue its activities with this belief at heart.
